Preface
To diagnose a disease means to find out its root causes,and to treat
a disease means to radically cure it.Inspection,auscultation and olfaction,interrogation,pulse
feeling and palpation are traditional diagnostic methods in traditional
Chinese medicine(TCM).However,only by rich clinical experience in
pulse feeling and palpation of vital importande,can a TCM physician
comprehensively analyze the data gained by the four diagnostic methods
and successfully diagnose and treat diseases according to overall
analysis of symptoms and signs.Physicians trained in Western medicine
must rely on vauious expensive instruments to diagnose diseases.
On the theoretical basis of doctrines on channesl and collaterals,viscara
state,yin and yang,by means of micro-advantages of Western medicine,and
with hand points corresponding to the human internal organs,the author
has invented an instrument for diagnosing and treating diseases through
hand points.Diseases are diagnosed with comparison of inductance reaction
at hand points.In combination with body poionts,the instrument can
be also used toclear channels and collaterals,maintain health and
strengthen the body.
The instrument can be used by clinical physicians to preliminarily
screen diseases and specianlly make examinations,by general practitioners
to render comprehensive outpatient service and by families to check
and treat diseases.In the past few years since it came out,the instrument
with its characteristics of rapidly diagnosing diseases has enjoyed
reputation at home and abroad.
Because of its limited space,the book lacks overall exposition of
the theory on research into hand points.The author is writing ia series
of books on diagnosis and treatment through hand pointsi to make up
the deficiency.The broad masses of readers and hand point lovers are
expected to discover new points,raise nes ideas,apply new methods,particularly
probe cancer point and spare no advice for the purpose of jointly
making due contributions to the human medical cause.

A. Principle
TCM theory on channels and collaterals holds:"Cannels and collaterals
link internal organs to limbs and joints.Clearing causes no pain but
not clearing causes pain."diseases of internal organs will inevitably
affect the whole body and hand points through channels and collaterals.Electro-physiological
viewpoint indicates that functional activities of human organs are
accompanied by bio-electricity.When pathological changes take place
inan organ,local rven whole bio-electric field will be unbalanced.
The hand point instrument,an electronic medical instrument integrating
electricity,light and magnetism,uses "standard micro-electric
current"slightly stronger than the bio-electricity of the human
body,applies comparison of inductance reaction and relies on the sensitivity
of hand points to diagnose diseases.At the same time,in combination
with body points,the instrument can be used to clear channels and
collaterals,maintain halth and strerngthen the body.
B. Function
1. Dagnosis
The instrument can be used to diagnose coronary heart disease,pheumaic
heart disease,rulmonary heart disease,diabetes,insmnia,gallstone,cholecystitis,gastritis,enteritis,nephrosis,cystits,diseases
of the reproductive system as well as diseases of joints of the neck,shoulder,waist
and leg in several minutes.
After diagnosed through hand points,some diseases should be further
examined.
2. Treatment
The instrument has agood analgesic effect on non-hemorrhagic pain,such
as headache,toothache,spastic pain lf the stomach and intestine,biliary
colic,as well as pain in joints of the neck,shoulder,waist and leg.
3. Healthcare
Both hands are gently put on the instrument for automatic point
selection to clear channels and collaterals,balance yin and yang and
strengthen the body.
● Morphological and planar points
Morphological points are internal organs in misiature,such as Wei(stomach)
Point at the center of palm and Xin(heart) Point at hyperthenar.Planar
points are marked by "…" and "……",such as Wei
Yan(gastritis)Point,Xiao Da Chang(smll and large intestine) Point
and shiER Zhi Chang(duodenum)Point on the far joint of index finger.
●Linear points
linear points are expressed in different length of line segment,such
as points on palm print line for life and "……"above and
below finger-joints.
●Dot-like points
Dot-like points are expressed in ".",such as Guan Xin(coronary
heart disease)point on the middle finger root line and Gang Men(anus)Point
at the and of thumb.
