　　Established in 1994,changzhou Municipal Institute of Diagnosis and Treatment at Hand Points is a medical research institute inheriting the theory of traditional Chinese medicine,deriving the doctrine of channels-collaterols and essence of Western medicine and exploring the mysterious relation between hand points and humanhealth.
　　Through concentrated research for many years,professor Liu Haoxing,thedirector of the institute,has raised a new theory on the relations of the internal organs to limbs,joints and the skin,drawn Haoxing Diagram of Hand Points,a new diagram of hand points corresponding to internal organs,and dreated a unique method of diagnosing diseases with “inspection,palpation and press” at hand points.with this method,people can rapidly know the general condition of human health and diagnose most familial hereditary diseases.The newspaper "health", "Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine", "Chang zhou Daily". "Yangtse Evening News" and the newspaper"Popular Science and Technology"have reported the invention by Liu Haoxing with the title of "extraordinary talent of hand points".The Medical Professional Committee of China A ged Professor Association has especially invited Liu Haoxing as the deputy president of the Branch Sssociation of Diagnosis at Hand points.Bejing High Training School of Traditional Chinese Medicine has also invited him as a guest professor.
　　In April,2002,the method for diagnosis and treatment at hand points was listed as a State key research subject,thus establishing the leading position of Chang Zhou Municipal Institute of Diagnosis and Treatment at Hand points in China.
　　In order to popularize the old and new method for diagnoses and treatment at hand points,the institute has also developed Haoxing brand of instrument for diagnosis and treatment at hand points(with its patent numberZL97106912.3).Since it came out ,the instrument has been well sold across China and exported to Malaysia,Singapore,the United States and other countries and regions.Cui Yueli,former minister of health,has personally inscribed: “The development of the instrument has made new contributions to the peoplie's health.”
　　Today when people's living standard has been conseantly rising,the medical mode has transferred from treatment type to healthcare type,and disease prevention has represented the general trend.The method for diagnosis and treatement at hand points invented by the institute has provided an effective train of thought for timely diagnosing and trating diseases as well as for purposeful healthcare.The instrument can be easily used by families to make general check-up and by physicians to screen diseases,thus providing a valuable reference for hospitals to conduct purposeful examinations with ultrasonogrphy,fluoroscopy and CT.
